Following the ways of Jesus leads us to find partners to better change the world.  Below, you can see some of the ways that we seek to add beauty.

Unfortunately, for too many, the Bible ends their conversations with others about faith.
It isn't meant to end the conversation, but start and encourage it!
It isn't meant to be used to defend inflexible beliefs, the Bible can help us be more aware of
what is trying to spring forth into the world.

Step Up Ventura

Step Up strives for a community where the safety and well-being of children are not compromised by their parent’s circumstances or instability and do not have to live with repeated traumas, disrupted attachments, or neglect.

Step Up Ventura’s vision is a community where all children have a chance to form healthy relationships and have access to early childhood education that supports realizing their potential.

We partner with Step Up to work toward this goal by providing all day therapeutic daycare and preschool to homeless children age 0-5.

Divorce care

Divorce Care helps individuals recover from the experience of a separation or divorce.  Obviously, it does not promote these things, but it helps individuals better understand their emotions and find a road to healing.  We realize that not every spiritual community can offer this type of class.  To date, we are the only one in the community.  We believe in healing, which is why we purchase all of the supplies for anyone who wants to participate in this group.

Diversity collective's pride festival

Diversity Collective's mission is to promote diversity, education, mental and physical health via community outreach to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender population as well as the general public. Awards All of this year’s pride events seek to show that we’re proud of who we are and that we can all stand together as part of the community at large, without regard to age, race, gender, sexual orientation, gender expression, socioeconomic status or any other secondary characteristics.

showers of Blessing

Showers of Blessing is a partnership with HEAL (Health, Empowerment, and Love) and Interfaith Initiative Santa Barbara County.  Together, along with other Ventura groups, we are bringing Showers of Blessings to Ventura to not only offer a hot shower, but also a new or nearly new set of clothes, washing and return of client's clothes the following week, and giving out hygiene products.  We go all of this to provide a path of the ultimate goal of helping those who are homeless in our community find jobs and be able to afford housing.
